Turkey's Crude Steel Production Increased by 4.2% in July

Turkey's crude steel production increased by 4.2% in July compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 3.2 million tons. Billet production increased by 2.1% to 2 million tons, while slab production rose by 7.8% to 1.2 million tons.

In light of these figures, crude steel production in the 7-month period decreased by 0.9% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 21.5 million tons. Billet production increased by 3.1%, while slab production recorded a 7% decrease.

During the 7-month period, 73.2% of crude steel production was carried out by Electric Arc Furnaces, and 26.8% by Integrated Plants.
