Turkey's Crude Steel Production Increased by 5.8% in January 2026

In January 2026, Turkey's crude steel production rose by 5.8% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 3.38 million tons. Billet production increased by 4.4% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 2 million tons, while slab production increased by 8.1% to 1.3 million tons. Over a 1-month period, 72.2% of crude steel production was carried out by Electric Arc Furnaces, and 27.8% by Integrated Plants.
