Turkey's Crude Steel Production Increased by 7.2% in September
In September 2025, Turkey's crude steel production rose by 7.2% compared to the same month last year, reaching 3.2 million tons. Billet production decreased by 4.2% to 2.04 million tons, while slab production decreased by 8.8% to 1.2 million tons.
In light of these figures, crude steel production in the 9-month period increased by 1% compared to the same period last year, reaching 28.1 million tons. Billet production increased by 4.2%, while slab production recorded a decrease of 4.1%.
During the 9-month period, 72.5% of crude steel production was carried out by Electric Arc Furnaces, and 27.5% by Integrated Plants.
