Turkey's Crude Steel Production Rises by 3.3% to 38.1 Million Tons in 2025
In December 2025, Turkey's crude steel production increased by 18.5% compared to the same month last year, reaching 3.5 million tons. Billet production increased by 16.5% compared to the same month last year, reaching 2.2 million tons, while slab production increased by 22.1% to 1.3 million tons.
In light of these figures, crude steel production over the 12-month period increased by 3.3% compared to the same period last year, reaching 38.1 million tons. Billet production increased by 6.1% over the 12-month period, while slab production recorded a decrease of 1.2%.
During the 12-month period, 72.2% of crude steel production was carried out by Electric Arc Furnaces, and 27.8% by Integrated Plants.
