Niyazi Aşkın Peker Appointed as General Manager at KARDEMİR

According to the statement from KARDEMİR, General Manager Dr. Dursunali Yaşacan resigned from his position as of December 19, 2025. Niyazi Aşkın Peker was appointed as the new General Manager by the decision of the Board of Directors.

Dr. Dursunali Yaşacan, who started his role as General Manager of KARDEMİR in January 2024, had managed the company for nearly two years. With the new appointment, Niyazi Aşkın Peker, known for his extensive experience in the Turkish iron and steel industry, became the new general manager of KARDEMİR.

Niyazi Aşkın Peker is a well-known figure in the Turkish iron and steel industry with many years of experience. Graduating from Yıldız Technical University's Department of Metallurgical Engineering in 1997, Peker worked within Erdemir for approximately 27 years. Starting his career as an engineer, Peker held positions such as Chief Engineer, Blast Furnace Production Manager, Iron Production Director, and General Manager Advisor, before being appointed as Erdemir General Manager in 2022. He continued in this role until August 2025, subsequently being appointed as General Manager of KARDEMİR.
