Muhammed Ali Oflaz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Karabük Iron and Steel Factories (KARDEMİR), stated that KARDEMİR has the potential to continue strongly under any circumstances with its 88 years of experience.

According to the statement made by the factory, Oflaz met with members of the press at the program held at the newly restored Yenişehir Engineers Club. Speaking at the program, Oflaz noted that KARDEMİR is not only an industrial enterprise but also a strategic actor contributing to the development of Karabük and the region. Emphasizing the importance of the iron and steel sector, Oflaz said, "We will collectively turn the responsibility of such a critical sector into a gain."

Oflaz continued by emphasizing that investments aimed at increasing KARDEMİR's production capacity and environmental investments are among the most important headings in the outlined roadmap: "Our environmental data is monitored in real-time by online systems.

Projects carried out regarding waste management and compliance with carbon regulations will be pursued with determination. KARDEMİR, with its 88 years of experience, has the potential to continue strongly under any circumstances."

Oflaz stated that as of today, KARDEMİR has 5,548 employees and that they have declared 2026 as the "Year of Efficiency" for KARDEMİR, aiming to crown the gains from efficiency with exports, and that the most important capital on this path is human resources.
