Tosyalı Metallurgy Strengthens Green Energy Goal with New Solar Power Project

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Application File submitted to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change (MoEUCC) for Tosyalı Metallurgy Industry Inc.'s "Tosyalı Metallurgy Solar Power Plant (SPP)" project has been reviewed and the EIA process has officially started.

In the EIA file prepared by En-Çev Energy Inc., the project cost is stated as 2 billion 550 million TL. The project, which will be implemented in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa, will make a significant contribution to the renewable energy capacity in the region.

The plant, which will be established on a total area of 220.48 hectares, is planned to have a capacity of 120 MWe / 168 MWm. The project will use 231,725 solar panels with a power of 725 Wp each.

In line with its energy efficiency and sustainable production policies, Tosyalı Holding aims to increase the share of renewable resources in its iron and steel production processes. The company has previously made investments aimed at green energy and carbon-neutral production goals.
